Year In Review : Dream On

Good intentions for the new year...
Buoni propositi per l’anno nuovo...

...I never thought about them actually and I don’t even know if it’s worth doing it because of my laziness and being always on late with no reason.
Nope, wait a moment. I do have programs actually and I make up new ones all the time. I just don’t think about them between Christmas and new year’s eve in the way I’m supposed to do.
I make plans while I’m taking a break from studying sessions, when I’m in the metro or on the bus, when I’m waiting for someone to arrive, when I’m at the cinema waiting the commercials to end, when I’m out with a friend for a coffee, when I listen to music laying upside down on the sofa and I write down everything on my agenda.
Yes, I like to pretend of having lots of meetings -like a real business woman-; just kidding, I actually write a lot about me, who I am and who I want to be.
I do write also some appointments.
I still don’t know why and when but at some point my memory just started to fall apart and made me go to the dentist’s one week earlier and to the hairstylist’s one week on late. So, after a remarkable number of poor figures I thought it was necessary to buy an agenda and write things down to remember.
The first one I got it when I was in 11th grade.
I treasure them jealously, even when the year ended.
And, twist of fate, I remember every agenda I had, year by year.
Every one keeps inside projects, dreams, ideas and intentions that month after month jumped on my mind like a hurricane and keeps also the ones I realized back in the time.
I’m satisfy of the goals I achieved but I’m an insatiable curious and there are still so many things that I want to do.
Don’t forget about the fact that I’m lazy. Never on time, never.
So wishing the usual good intentions for me, like “I’ll go jogging everyday”, “I’ll eat less sweets”, “I’ll aways be on time” or “I’ll study with perseverance” it’s meaningless.
Don’t misunderstand me I’m a very dynamic person, I love play sports, I love study new stuff and eat healthy but words as ‘perseverance’, ‘well-balanced’ and ‘always’ make me sick, in every circumstances you use them.
I do love chaos, the state of uncertainty. And I like to write my alternatives of chaos down on my agenda.
At the moment, my key words -or if you prefer good intentions- are:

find an internship in Paris
save some money for the Master of my dreams
learn to use a darkroom
learn to play guitar
read, like I used to
write more often
go to a music festival in July
have nothing to do in August
take at least 3 exams within September
spend an awesome birthday
grow hair
learn another foreign language

It’s only January. If you ask me in a month the list will be three times longer.
For sure I won’t realize half of them but it’s beautiful to have the chance of doing whatever you want at least with the imagination. Having your head in the clouds, daydreaming, smiling on the bus thanks to a funny thought and falling asleep thinking about what beautiful things may happen tomorrow is a romantic and ambitious way of life dedicated to those who are not afraid of the unknown but charmed.
Dream on.

No, aspettate.

dare almeno 3 esami entro settembre
passare un bel compleanno
farsi crescere i capelli
imparare un’altra lingua straniera

E siamo solo a metà gennaio.
Dream on.

On a glory night
Where the children of tomorrow dream away
In the wind of change"
